I saw how people in my community struggled to make ends meet, living day to day with little hope for a better future. Inequality was also a harsh reality that I had to face. I saw how some people in our society had access to opportunities and resources that others did not. The color of our skin often determined our fate, with black people like me being treated as second-class citizens in our own country.
