Tension between brothers from "summary" of It's Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han
The tension between brothers was palpable. It was like a dense fog that surrounded them, making it hard for anyone else to penetrate their world. Belly could see it in the way they looked at each other, the way they spoke (or didn't speak) to each other. It was a silent war that had been raging for years, with no end in sight. Jeremiah was the older brother, the responsible one. He always did what was expected of him, never stepping out of line. Conrad, on the other hand, was the rebel. He pushed boundaries, challenged authority, and never seemed to care about the consequences. Their personalities clashed like two opposing forces, constantly at odds with each other. Belly knew that the tension between them stemmed from their shared past. They had experienced loss and heartbreak together, and it had left scars that had never fully healed. Jeremiah blamed Conrad for their pain, holding him responsible for everything that had gone wrong. Conrad, in turn, resented Jeremiah for trying to control him, for never letting him be himself. Despite their differences, Belly could see the love that still existed between them. It was buried beneath layers of hurt and anger, but it was there, waiting to be unearthed. She hoped that one day they would be able to let go of their past grievances and find a way to reconcile, to bridge the gap that had been growing wider and wider between them. But for now, the tension remained, a constant presence in their lives. It cast a shadow over everything they did, coloring their interactions with bitterness and resentment. And as much as Belly wished she could fix it, she knew that the only ones who could truly mend their relationship were Jeremiah and Conrad themselves.Similar Posts
