Lily makes a difficult decision to leave Ryle from "summary" of It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

Lily stood in front of Ryle, her heart heavy with the weight of her decision. She knew that leaving him was the only way to protect herself, to break free from the cycle of abuse that had consumed her for so long. As she looked into his eyes, she saw a mix of confusion and anger, and she knew that he would not let her go without a fight. But she also knew that she couldn't stay, no matter how much she loved him. She had to be strong for herself, to finally put herself first after years of putting others before her own well-being. It was a difficult decision, one that tore at her heart, but she knew it was the right one. As she packed her bags, she felt a sense of liberation wash over her. She was finally breaking free from the chains that had bound her for so long, finally taking control of her own life. It was a bittersweet feeling, knowing that she was leaving behind the man she loved, but also knowing that she was setting herself free. Walking out the door, she felt a mix of emotions - sadness, relief, fear. She didn't know what the future held for her, but she knew that she was strong enough to face it on her own. She knew that she deserved better than the life she had been living, and she was determined to create a new future for herself. As she walked away from Ryle, she felt a sense of peace settle over her. She knew that she had made the right decision, no matter how difficult it had been. She was finally taking control of her own life, finally putting herself first. And as she walked away, she knew that she was walking towards a brighter future, one that she had the power to create for herself.
