Abuse is never acceptable from "summary" of It Ends with Us, It Starts with Us Ebook Collection by Colleen Hoover

Abuse should never be tolerated in any form. It's a cycle that can continue if we don't stand up and say no. It's easy to fall into the trap of excusing abuse, making excuses for the abuser, or blaming ourselves for their actions. But that only perpetuates the cycle and enables the abuser to continue their harmful behavior. We must recognize that abuse is not love. It's not something that should be accepted or tolerated in any relationship. No amount of kindness or understanding can justify someone hurting you physically, emotionally, or mentally. We should never make excuses for someone who mistreats us, no matter how much we care for them. It's important to break the cycle of abuse, even if it means walking away from a relationship. We deserve to be treated with respect and kindness, and we should never settle for anything less. It's not easy to leave an abusive situation, but it's necessary for our well-being and safety. We must also remember that abuse is not always physical. Emotional abuse can be just as damaging, if not more so, than physical abuse. It can leave scars that are not visible to the naked eye but can have a lasting impact on our mental and emotional health. We need to prioritize our own well-being and safety above all else. It's not selfish to put ourselves first and remove ourselves from toxic situations. We have the right to set boundaries and enforce them, and we should never feel guilty for doing so. By standing up against abuse and refusing to accept it, we can break the cycle and create a safer, healthier environment for ourselves and those around us. We are worth more than abuse, and we deserve to be treated with love, respect, and kindness at all times.
