In my opinion, there is no excuse for abuse. It doesn't matter how much someone loves you or how good they are to you when they aren't hurting you. If they hurt you once, they will hurt you again. And again. And again. And each time, it will hurt more. It will hurt worse. The pain will become unbearable, but you will bear it. You will bear it because you love them. Because you believe they love you. You will make excuses for their behavior. You will blame yourself. You will tell yourself that you deserve it. But you don't. No one deserves to be abused. No one has the right to make you feel small, unworthy, insignificant. You are worth more than that. You deserve better than that. You deserve to be loved. Truly loved. Completely loved. Unconditionally loved. And abuse is not love. It is the opposite of love. It is control. It is manipulation. It is power. It is fear. It is pain. It is suffering. I know it's hard to walk away. I know it's hard to leave someone you love. I know it's hard to admit that the person you love is capable of hurting you. But you have to. You have to be strong. You have to be brave. You have to put yourself first. You have to love yourself enough to know that you deserve more. You deserve happiness. You deserve peace. You deserve safety. You deserve respect. You deserve to be treated with kindness, compassion, empathy. You deserve to be treated with love. Real love. Pure love. Honest love. Love that doesn't hurt. Love that doesn't harm. Love that doesn't destroy. Love that doesn't break you. Love that doesn't leave you shattered. Love that doesn't leave you scarred. Love that heals. Love that mends. Love that builds. Love that strengthens. Love that empowers. Love that frees. You have the power to change your life. You have the power to break the cycle of abuse. You have the power to say no. You have the power to walk away. You have the power to create a new beginning. You have the power to create a new ending. You have the power to choose yourself. You have the power to choose love. Real love. Pure love. Honest love. Love that lifts you up. Love that inspires you. Love that supports you. Love that encourages you.
