This idea that goes unacknowledged, that is kept hidden from view, is like a wound left untreated. It festers and grows, spreading its poison through the body. The pain is there, throbbing beneath the surface, but no one sees it, no one tends to it. And so it continues to grow, to spread, to consume. This is how suffering is perpetuated, how it is passed down from one generation to the next. When we turn a blind eye to the suffering of others, when we choose not to see, not to hear, not to speak out, we are complicit in the perpetuation of that suffering. Our silence is a tacit agreement, an acceptance of the status quo. And the status quo is one of inequality, of injustice, of pain. It is a cycle that feeds on itself, that thrives on invisibility.
