Freedom entails both the ability to act autonomously and the responsibility to consider others from "summary" of Human, All-Too-Human (Parts One and Two) by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

Freedom, according to Nietzsche, is not simply the ability to act autonomously. It goes beyond that. It also involves the responsibility to consider others. This means that while we may have the freedom to do as we please, we must also take into account the impact of our actions on those around us. It is not enough to simply act in our own self-interest without regard for the well-being of others. Nietzsche believed that true freedom requires a balance between self-interest and consideration for others. This balance is what allows us to live in a society where individual freedom is respected while also upholding the values of community and cooperation. In a sense, freedom is a double-edged sword. It gives us the ability to make choices for ourselves, but it also comes with the responsibility to think about how those choices will affect others. To Nietzsche, the idea of freedom without responsibility is a dangerous one. It can lead to a society where individuals only look out for themselves, without any regard for the common good. This kind of selfish individualism, according to Nietzsche, is detrimental to society as a whole. It creates a culture of isolation and hostility, where everyone is out for themselves and no one is willing to consider the needs of others. In order to truly be free, then, we must be willing to take on the responsibility of considering others in our actions. This means thinking about how our choices will impact those around us and being willing to make compromises for the greater good. It is only through this balance of autonomy and responsibility that we can create a society where freedom is truly valued and respected.
