Accept differences in others from "summary" of How to Be an Adult in Relationships by David Richo
We are all unique individuals with our own beliefs, values, preferences, and ways of being in the world. It is inevitable that we will encounter differences in others as we navigate the complex terrain of relationships. It is important to remember that differences in others are not a reflection of our own worth or value. Each person is on their own unique journey, with their own set of strengths, challenges, and life experiences. By accepting and embracing these differences, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate world where everyone feels seen, heard, and respected.- Accepting differences in others is a fundamental aspect of healthy and mature relationships. It requires us to let go of the need for control and perfection, and instead embrace the beauty and complexity of diversity. When we can approach others with an open heart and mind, we create a space for authentic connection and growth.
