Growing up, I was taught that to be a man, I had to fit into a certain mold. I had to be tough, unemotional, and always in control. Anything that deviated from these expectations was seen as weak or unmanly. I learned to suppress my feelings and put on a brave face, even when I was struggling inside. I was told to "man up" and not show any signs of vulnerability. This constant pressure to conform to masculine stereotypes took a toll on me. I felt like I couldn't fully express myself or show my true emotions. I was afraid of being seen as less of a man if I didn't live up to these impossible standards.
