From an early age, we are taught to conform to societal expectations. We are told how to behave, what to wear, what to say, and how to act in order to fit in. It's as if there is a rulebook for how to be a boy or a girl, and deviating from it is simply not an option. But what we fail to realize is that conforming to these expectations can stifle our personal development. When we conform to societal expectations, we are essentially putting ourselves in a box. We are limiting our potential and restricting our ability to grow and evolve as individuals. Instead of exploring our interests and expressing ourselves freely, we are forced to adhere to a set of arbitrary rules that dictate who we should be and how we should behave.
