The trio part ways as they move on with their lives from "summary" of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling

After the final battle at Hogwarts, Harry, Ron, and Hermione stood together in the Great Hall, their faces weary but determined. The time had come for them to go their separate ways, each with their own paths to follow. Harry knew that he had to search for the remaining Horcruxes, to finally defeat Voldemort once and for all. Ron, on the other hand, wanted to return to his family, to make sure they were safe and to help rebuild their world. Hermione, ever the scholar, planned to continue her education and work towards a better future for all magical beings. As they embraced one last time, Harry felt a pang of sadness at the thought of leaving his two best friends behind. They had been through so much together, faced danger and death, but had always stood by each other's side. Now, however, it was time for them to forge their own paths, to grow and change in ways that would shape their futures. With a final nod, they turned and walked away from each other, each disappearing into the crowd of celebrating witches and wizards. In the days that followed, Harry, Ron, and Hermione kept in touch through letters and occasional visits. They shared their triumphs and struggles, supporting each other from afar as they navigated the challenges of a post-war world. And though they were no longer a trio, the bond they had forged during their time at Hogwarts remained unbreakable. Years passed, and Harry became an Auror, fighting dark wizards and upholding justice in the wizarding world. Ron worked at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, helping his brother George rebuild their family business. Hermione, true to her nature, became a high-ranking official in the Ministry of Magic, advocating for equality and justice for all magical beings. Despite their busy lives and responsibilities, Harry, Ron, and Hermione remained close friends, always there for each other in times of need. And though they had parted ways that fateful day in the Great Hall, their friendship endured, a constant reminder of the bonds that can never be broken.
