The trio found themselves trapped in the dungeons of Malfoy Manor, captured by Bellatrix Lestrange and her Death Eater companions. Hermione's quick thinking led her to reveal that they possessed a valuable sword that belonged to Bellatrix's beloved master, which prompted the Death Eater to call for a house-elf to investigate.
Dobby, the loyal house-elf who once served the Malfoy family, appeared in the dungeons, eager to assist Harry, Ron, and Hermione in any way he could. With a flick of his magic, Dobby disapparated the trio out of the dungeons and into the countryside, away from the clutches of their captors. However, their escape did not go unnoticed.
