Dumbledore explains the events of the past from "summary" of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

Dumbledore swept into the room, his long silver beard fluttering behind him. He took a seat at the head of the long table, his expression grave. The students, including Harry, Ron, and Hermione, watched him with rapt attention, waiting for him to speak. Dumbledore began to recount the events of the past, his voice calm and steady. He spoke of the mysterious attacks that had been plaguing the school, of the petrified students and the growing sense of fear that had taken hold of Hogwarts. He explained how these events were connected to the Chamber of Secrets, a hidden chamber within the school that only the Heir of Slytherin could open. As Dumbledore spoke, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. Harry remembered hearing the voice, the voice that only he could hear, whispering in the walls. He remembered his strange connection to the snake, how he had spoken to it in Parseltongue without even realizing it. He realized that he was the one who had opened the Chamber of Secrets, unwittingly releasing the monster within. Dumbledore's words were like a revelation, shedding light on the dark secrets that had been lurking in the shadows. He explained how Tom Riddle, a former student at Hogwarts, had used the diary to possess Ginny Weasley and reopen the Chamber of Secrets. He spoke of the bravery of Harry and his friends, how they had fought against the darkness and ultimately triumphed. As Dumbledore finished speaking, a sense of relief washed over the room. The truth had been revealed, the mystery solved. The students looked to Harry with newfound respect, knowing that he had faced great danger and emerged victorious. And as Dumbledore rose from his seat and left the room, his presence seemed to linger, a reminder of the wisdom and strength that had guided them through the darkness.
