The health of the soil beneath our feet is profoundly interconnected with the overall health of the ecosystems that surround us. When we think about soil, it is easy to overlook its vital importance in supporting all life on Earth. Yet, the reality is that healthy soil is the foundation upon which thriving ecosystems are built. Soil is much more than just dirt. It is a living, breathing ecosystem in its own right, teeming with a vast array of microorganisms, fungi, insects, and other organisms that work together in a delicate balance to support plant life above ground. When we disrupt this delicate balance through harmful agricultural practices, we not only degrade the soil itself but also negatively impact the entire ecosystem that depends on it.
