Desire and betrayal go hand in hand from "summary" of Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff
From the very beginning, it was clear that desire and betrayal were intertwined in their relationship. It was as if one could not exist without the other, like two sides of the same coin. Their desires fueled their actions, but their betrayals left scars that ran deep.
Each act of desire seemed to bring with it the potential for betrayal. The more they longed for something, the more likely it was that one of them would end up feeling betrayed. It was a cycle that repeated itself time and time again, leaving them both feeling raw and exposed.
Their desires were like flames, burning bright and hot, consuming everything in their path. But with desire came vulnerability, and with vulnerability came the potential for betrayal. They were constantly teetering on the edge, never quite sure if they could trust each other, never quite sure if their desires would be met or if they would be left feeling empty and betrayed once again.
It was a dance they both knew well, a delicate balance between desire and betrayal. They moved through their lives with a sense of caution, never fully letting go of their wants and needs for fear of being betrayed once again. And yet, they couldn't help but give in to their desires, knowing full well the risks that came with them.
In the end, it seemed that desire and betrayal were inextricably linked, two sides of the same coin that they could never quite separate. They were bound together by their longing and their pain, unable to break free from the cycle that seemed to define their relationship. And so they continued on, navigating the treacherous waters of desire and betrayal, never quite sure where one ended and the other began.
