The farmers are cruel and greedy from "summary" of Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl

Boggis, Bunce, and Bean, three of the meanest and most despicable farmers you could ever come across. They were not only cruel but also incredibly greedy. They cared about nothing but their own selfish desires, willing to do anything to protect their precious farms. Boggis was a monstrous man who only cared about stuffing his face with chicken and ducks. He had an entire chicken farm where he would slaughter hundreds of birds just to satisfy his gluttonous appetite. The sight of Boggis devouring a whole chicken in one sitting was enough to turn anyone's stomach. Bunce, on the other hand, was a short and fat little man who was obsessed with feeding his face with geese and doughnuts. He had a massive goose farm where he fattened up the birds before slaughtering them for their succulent meat. Bunce's greed knew no bounds, and he would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. Bean, the last of the trio, was a skinny and shifty man who was addicted to apple cider. He had a vast apple orchard where he would make the most delicious cider anyone had ever tasted. But Bean was not content with just selling his cider, he also had a dark secret – he was a chicken farmer as well, and his methods were even more brutal than Boggis'. Together, these three farmers ruled the land with an iron fist, showing no mercy to anyone or anything that stood in their way. They were willing to do whatever it took to protect their farms and their precious crops, even if it meant resorting to violence and cruelty. But little did they know, there was one cunning creature who was about to outsmart them all – Fantastic Mr Fox. This sly fox had a plan to outwit the farmers and steal food from right under their noses, showing them that greed and cruelty would never triumph in the end. And so, the battle between the farmers and Mr Fox began, with the fate of the animals hanging in the balance.
