Ego is a dangerous thing. It has the power to blind us to our own faults and weaknesses, making us believe that we are infallible. When we allow our ego to take control, we become complacent. We start to believe that we have already reached the pinnacle of success, and there is nothing more for us to learn or achieve.
Complacency is the enemy of progress. It lulls us into a false sense of security, preventing us from pushing ourselves to grow and improve. When we are complacent, we stop challenging ourselves and seeking out new opportunities. We become stagnant, content to coast along without putting in the effort required to truly excel.
