Conversely, students with low self-efficacy may be more likely to give up in the face of challenges, leading to poorer learning outcomes. In addition to self-efficacy, goal orientation also influences motivation and learning outcomes. Students who have a mastery goal orientation are more likely to focus on learning and improving their skills, while those with a performance goal orientation may be more concerned with demonstrating their abilities to others. Research has shown that students with a mastery goal orientation tend to have better learning outcomes compared to those with a performance goal orientation.- Motivation is a critical factor in determining the success of learning outcomes. Educators should strive to create a learning environment that fosters intrinsic motivation, promotes self-efficacy, and encourages mastery goal orientation. By doing so, they can help students achieve their full potential and maximize their learning outcomes.
