Brandon comes to Nikki's rescue from "summary" of Dork Diaries 4 by Rachel Renée Russell
When I was trapped in the janitor's closet at school, I was freaking out big time. It was dark, dusty, and smelled like old mop water. I had no idea how I was going to get out of there. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I heard footsteps approaching. My heart started racing as the door creaked open. To my surprise, it was Brandon, my crush, who had come to my rescue. Brandon had a concerned look on his face as he helped me out of the closet. He asked me if I was okay and if I needed anything. I was so relieved to see him that I almost started crying. He was my knight in shining armor, coming to my rescue when I needed him the most. As we made our way down the hallway, Brandon kept a protective arm around me. He made me feel safe and secure, like nothing bad could happen as long as he was by my side. It was such a relief to have someone there for me in that scary situation. When we finally reached safety, I couldn't stop thanking Brandon for saving me. He just smiled and said it was no big deal, that he was happy to help. I felt so grateful to have him in my life, someone who cared about me and was willing to go out of his way to make sure I was okay. Brandon truly was my hero that day, coming to my rescue in a time of need. I knew that I could always count on him to be there for me, no matter what. And that thought brought me comfort and peace of mind, knowing that I had someone like Brandon in my corner.
