She reflects on the cruelty and injustice of the war from "summary" of Diary Of A Young Girl by Anne Frank

As I sit here in the confined space of our hiding place, my mind often wanders to the world outside. I cannot help but ponder the cruelty and injustice that has befallen us due to this war. The actions of the Nazis, the bombings, the fear that grips our hearts every day - it is all too much to bear at times. I think about the families who have been torn apart, the children who have been orphaned, the lives that have been shattered beyond repair. How can humanity be so cruel to one another? How can we inflict such pain and suffering on our fellow human beings? I reflect on the stories I have heard of people being persecuted simply because of their religion, their race, their beliefs. It is unfathomable to me how anyone could justify such actions. How can we allow hatred and prejudice to dictate our behavior towards others? The injustice of it all weighs heavily on my young shoulders. I cannot understand why we must endure such hardship, such loss, such devastation. I long for the day when peace will once again reign, when love and compassion will triumph over hate and fear. But until that day comes, I will continue to reflect on the cruelty and injustice of this war. I will hold onto hope and strive to keep my faith in humanity alive, no matter how dark the world may seem.
