Rowley forgives Greg after a fight from "summary" of Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #1) by Jeff Kinney

After the big fight, I was sure Rowley would never forgive me. I mean, I had really messed up this time. But then, something unexpected happened. Rowley showed up at my house with his dad. I was surprised to see him, to say the least. I couldn't believe he was actually standing there, ready to talk things out. Rowley's dad did most of the talking, which was probably for the best. He explained that Rowley was upset about what had happened, but he also said that Rowley was willing to give me another chance. I was shocked. I had never really thought about what it would be like to lose Rowley as a friend. But in that moment, I realized just how much he meant to me. I apologized to Rowley, and he accepted it. It was a relief, to say the least. I knew things wouldn't go back to normal right away, but at least we were on the right track. Rowley's dad said that forgiveness was an important part of friendship. He told us that we needed to communicate better and be more understanding of each other. I knew he was right. As we talked, I could see that Rowley was starting to soften towards me. I could tell that he wanted things to be okay between us, just like I did. It was a slow process, but eventually, we were back to being friends again. I knew I had messed up, but Rowley was willing to give me a second chance. And for that, I was grateful.
