Greg's mom forces him to keep a diary from "summary" of Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #1) by Jeff Kinney
Greg's mom decided I should go to the middle school her father went to. It's called Hills Village Middle School. She said I should be able to make a lot of new friends. But I didn't need a bunch of new friends. I just needed one good one. There was this kid at my old school named Rowley. We'd been friends since we were really little. But there's something you should know about Rowley. He's the kind of kid who'd walk into someone's house and ask for a snack. It's hard to find a friend like that. But I was getting ahead of myself. I should probably start this story from the beginning. It all started when my mom went to this book fair at my school. She brought home this journal and she said I should write in it every day. I told her I didn't want it, but she said I should just give it a try. I said I didn't want it, but she didn't listen. She said that one day when I'm older, I'll want to look back on my middle school years. I told her that when I'm older, I'll want to forget my middle school years. But she wasn't hearing it. She said I should try it for a week and see what I think. So that was how I got stuck with this stupid journal. I decided to write in it on the first day of school. I wrote about how I'd been looking forward to the summer all year, but when it finally came, everything was different. My brother Rodrick was always playing loud music and my little brother Manny was always getting in my business. But the worst part was that Rowley was spending the summer with his grandparents. I had nothing to do, so I just sat around watching TV all day. And then school started and everything got even worse.Similar Posts
