Greg's dad pushes him to play sports from "summary" of Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #1) by Jeff Kinney
Greg's dad is always on my case about playing sports. It's like he doesn't understand that I'm not an athlete. He's always telling me how when he was a kid, he was a star player on all his teams. I try to tell him that times have changed, but he doesn't want to hear it. He's always signing me up for different sports teams without even asking me first. One time, he even signed me up for soccer, and I had to spend the whole season running around on the field like a maniac. I don't know why he's so obsessed with me playing sports. I mean, I'm perfectly happy just hanging out with my friends and playing video games. But he's always saying how sports build character and teach you important life lessons. I guess he means well, but it's just not my thing. I wish he would understand that and stop trying to force me into something I'm not interested in. But I know that no matter how many times I try to tell him, he'll always be pushing me to play sports.Similar Posts
