Greg faces consequences for his actions from "summary" of Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #1) by Jeff Kinney
Greg faces a lot of consequences for his actions. For example, one time when I was over at Greg's house, he spit on the sidewalk. And wouldn't you know it, a big glob of spit landed on a lady's shoe. She called Greg a nasty little boy and Greg had to apologize, but he didn't really mean it. That night, when we were watching TV, Greg's mom told him that his allowance was getting cut in half because she heard what happened. So Greg had to come up with a plan to earn some extra money. Another time, Greg decided to play a trick on his little brother, Manny. Greg put a snowball in the freezer and then when Manny was looking for a snack, Greg told him to eat the snowball. Manny ended up getting sick and Greg got in big trouble with his mom. She made Greg write an apology letter to Manny and he had to do all of Manny's chores for a week. Greg learned his lesson that time, but I don't think he'll stop playing tricks anytime soon. There was also the time when Greg accidentally broke his mom's lamp. He tried to hide it by gluing it back together, but his mom found out. She was really upset and told Greg that he would have to pay for a new lamp out of his own pocket money. Greg was so broke after that, he couldn't even afford to buy a candy bar at school. He learned the hard way that it's better to tell the truth right away instead of trying to cover up a mistake. No matter what Greg does, it seems like he always ends up facing consequences for his actions. But I think that's a good thing because it helps him learn and grow as a person. Maybe one day Greg will think twice before doing something he knows he shouldn't do. But knowing Greg, I wouldn't count on it.Similar Posts
