Students benefit from handson learning from "summary" of DEMOCRACY & EDUCATION by John Dewey

The idea that students benefit from hands-on learning is central to the philosophy of education proposed by John Dewey. Dewey believed that education should be a process of growth and development, rather than simply a transfer of knowledge from teacher to student. In order for students to truly understand and internalize new information, they must be actively engaged in the learning process.
