Education should foster creativity from "summary" of DEMOCRACY & EDUCATION by John Dewey

In order to truly fulfill its purpose, education must go beyond mere transmission of information and rote memorization. Education should be a dynamic process that encourages students to engage with the material in a creative and innovative way. This means moving away from the traditional model of education that focuses solely on standardized testing and regurgitation of facts. Instead, the emphasis should be on fostering creativity in students, allowing them to think critically and problem-solve in new and unique ways. When students are encouraged to be creative in their approach to learning, they are able to develop a deeper understanding of the material. This is because creativity forces students to think outside the box and consider multiple perspectives. In doing so, students are better equipped to make connections between different concepts and apply their knowledge in real-world situations.
