Our current economic system is built on the premise that endless growth is not only possible but necessary. We are constantly bombarded with messages that more is better - more money, more stuff, more success. However, this pursuit of endless growth is simply not sustainable in the long run. As our economy continues to expand, it is doing so at the expense of the environment. We are consuming resources at an alarming rate, depleting the earth of its natural wealth.
