When we think of vulnerability, we often associate it with weakness or being exposed. However, in reality, vulnerability is the core of all emotions and experiences. It is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. Without vulnerability, we cannot truly connect with others or create meaningful work.
Innovation and creativity require us to take risks, try new things, and think outside the box. This process is inherently vulnerable because it involves uncertainty and the possibility of failure. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we open ourselves up to new ideas, perspectives, and possibilities. We become willing to take risks and step outside of our comfort zones.
