Seek to imitate God's love and character from "summary" of Crazy Love by Francis Chan

We were created to reflect God's love and character. As His image-bearers, our lives should be a reflection of His nature. Just as a child imitates their parent, we are called to imitate our Heavenly Father. God's love is selfless and sacrificial. It is not based on what we can offer Him, but on His own nature. His love is unconditional, reaching out to the broken and the lost. In the same way, we are called to love others without expecting anything in return. God's character is holy and perfect. He is just and merciful, righteous and gracious. As we seek to imitate Him, we must strive for holiness and righteousness in our own lives. We must show mercy and grace to others, just as God has shown us. Imitating God's love and character is not easy. It requires humility and surrender. It means putting aside our own desires and ambitions in order to serve others. It means laying down our lives for the sake of the gospel. But as we imitate God, we begin to experience the abundant life that He has promised us. We find joy and peace in His presence. We discover the true meaning of love and fulfillment. So let us strive to imitate God's love and character in all that we do. Let us love without reservation and live with integrity. Let us reflect His glory to a world that is in desperate need of His grace.
