When two people engage in conversation, they bring with them their own unique communication styles. One way in which conversational partners influence each other's communication styles is through the use of linguistic features. In addition to linguistic and nonverbal cues, conversational partners also influence each other's communication styles through their listening habits. If one person tends to interrupt frequently, the other may begin to do the same in order to assert themselves in the conversation. On the other hand, if one person is a good listener who gives their partner ample time to speak, the other may adjust their own listening habits accordingly.- The interaction between conversational partners is a dynamic and complex process that involves a constant give and take. Each person's communication style is shaped not only by their own individual traits but also by the influence of the other person. This mutual influence can lead to a harmonious and effective exchange of ideas, as long as both partners are willing to adapt and engage with each other's unique way of communicating.
