To catch ideas, I have to work hard. The ideas themselves are just around the corner and down the block from hard work. When you're working, you don't want to be thinking. I believe ideas are like fish. If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you've got to go deeper. Down deep, the fish are more powerful and more pure. They're huge and abstract. And they're beautiful. When you're meditating, you're like a diver in the ocean. And the fish are like ideas. When you catch a big fish, it's like a creative idea. You reel it in, and if you're doing things right, you have a breakthrough. You don't always get a big fish. But you have to be ready when you have a deep experience. In meditation, you're diving within and experiencing the big fish. You're catching ideas, or they're catching you. Sometimes an idea comes suddenly and hits you like a bolt of lightning. And you see it, you know it, and you remember it...
