Young Frank Abagnale runs away from home from "summary" of Catch Me If You Can by Frank W. Abagnale,Stan Redding

At sixteen, I made a decision that would change the course of my life forever. I packed a small bag, kissed my parents goodbye, and walked out the door, knowing I would never return. It wasn't a spur-of-the-moment choice; it was a calculated move, a carefully planned escape from the confines of my ordinary existence. I had always felt like I was meant for something more, something bigger than the life I was living in New Rochelle, New York. I was restless, eager to break free from the constraints of school and family, to prove myself in the world beyond my doorstep. So, I left behind the familiar streets and faces of my hometown, setting out on a journey of self-discovery and adventure. As I hitchhiked my way across the country, I felt a sense of exhilaration unlike anything I had ever experienced before. The open road stretched out before me, full of promise and possibility. I was young, fearless, and determined to make my mark on the world. Little did I know that my escapade would lead me down a path of deception and crime, of forging checks and assuming false identities. But in that moment, all I could think about was the thrill of the unknown, the freedom of being untethered from everything I had ever known. I was a young man on a mission, driven by a desire to escape the ordinary and embrace the extraordinary. And so, I ran away from home, not knowing where my journey would take me, but certain that it would be a journey worth taking.
