The Brothers Karamazov vividly illustrates the perils of yielding to temptation and acting on impulse. The characters in the novel are constantly grappling with their inner desires and the consequences of giving in to them. Dmitri, for instance, is driven by his passions and finds himself entangled in a web of deceit and violence as a result. His inability to resist temptation leads to his downfall and eventual ruin. Similarly, Ivan is consumed by his intellectual pride and skepticism, which ultimately leads him to reject moral boundaries and embrace nihilism.
