The TOEFL test is divided into four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. Each section is designed to assess different language skills. The Reading section consists of three to five passages followed by multiple-choice questions. This section evaluates the test taker's ability to understand academic texts and answer questions based on the information presented. The Listening section includes lectures, conversations, and discussions, followed by questions that assess the test taker's ability to comprehend spoken English. This section aims to evaluate listening skills, such as understanding main ideas, supporting details, and the speaker's attitude. The Speaking section requires test takers to express their opinions on various topics. They are asked to speak into a microphone and record their responses, which are then evaluated by human raters. This section assesses the test taker's ability to speak clearly, coherently, and fluently in English. The Writing section consists of two tasks: an integrated task and an independent task. In the integrated task, test takers are required to read a passage, listen to a lecture, and then write a response that synthesizes the information. In the independent task, test takers are given a topic and asked to express their opinion on it. This section evaluates the test taker's ability to write clearly, organize ideas effectively, and use appropriate grammar and vocabulary.- The TOEFL test is structured to assess the test taker's English language proficiency in academic contexts. It is important for test takers to familiarize themselves with the format of the test and practice each section to improve their skills and perform well on test day.
