Temporality structures our experience of the world from "summary" of Being and Time by Martin Heidegger

In the everydayness of our being, we often take for granted the fact that we exist within time. We move from one moment to the next, experiencing the world and ourselves in a continuous stream of moments. However, it is only upon closer examination that we come to realize the profound impact that temporality has on our experience of the world. Time is not simply a neutral background against which our lives unfold, but rather a fundamental structuring principle that shapes our understanding of reality. It is through our temporal existence that we are able to make sense of the world around us, as well as our own place within it. The past is not simply a collection of disconnected events that have already occurred, but rather a horizon of possibilities that inform our present experience. It is through our past experiences that we are able to navigate the present and anticipate the future. Similarly, the future is not simply an abstract concept that lies ahead of us, but rather a concrete reality that exerts a pull on our present actions and decisions. It is through our anticipation of the future that we are able to project ourselves forward and orient ourselves towards certain goals and possibilities. In this way, temporality structures our experience of the world by providing us with a framework through which we can make sense of our existence. It is through our temporal existence that we are able to engage with the world in a meaningful way, as well as cultivate a sense of continuity and coherence in our lives. By paying attention to the ways in which time shapes our experience, we are able to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Temporality is not simply a passive backdrop to our lives, but rather an active force that shapes the very fabric of our existence. It is through our engagement with time that we are able to truly inhabit our being and make sense of the world in which we find ourselves.
