Surrendering to God's will brings inner strength from "summary" of Autobiography of a Yogi (Unabridged Edition) by Paramhansa Yogananda
In the depths of my meditation, I have come to understand a profound truth - that surrendering to the divine will grants us a strength that is not of this world. When we let go of our ego's desires and place our trust in the wisdom and love of the Supreme Being, we open ourselves to a power that flows through us, sustaining us in times of trial and guiding us on our path. I have witnessed this truth time and time again in the lives of the saints and sages who have walked this earth. They are not weak or passive individuals, but rather they are imbued with a quiet strength that comes from their deep connection to the Source of all things. By surrendering their will to God's, they are able to draw upon an inner reservoir of courage, resilience, and peace that enables them to face any challenge with grace and equanimity. This inner strength is not something that can be cultivated through mere physical or mental effort. It is a gift that is bestowed upon us when we align ourselves with the divine will and allow it to work its magic in our lives. When we surrender to God's will, we release ourselves from the burden of trying to control every aspect of our existence, and instead we place our trust in a higher power that knows what is best for us. This surrender is not an act of weakness, but rather an act of supreme courage and wisdom. It requires us to let go of our attachments and desires, and to place our faith in a power that is infinitely greater than ourselves. In doing so, we free ourselves from the bondage of fear and doubt, and we open ourselves to a state of profound peace and joy that transcends all understanding. When we surrender to God's will, we tap into a wellspring of inner strength that sustains us through life's trials and tribulations. We become like the mighty oak tree that bends in the face of the storm, but remains rooted firmly in the earth. In this surrender, we find a source of power that is unshakeable and unending - a power that flows from the very heart of the divine and infuses our being with a strength that knows no bounds.Similar Posts
