Dreams of liberation from "summary" of Autobiografía de un esclavo by Juan Francisco Manzano
In my mind, I harbored thoughts of freedom that fluttered like birds trying to escape their cage. These dreams of liberation consumed me, filling my days with hope and my nights with restless yearning. I longed for the chains that bound me to fall away, for my spirit to soar like a bird released from its cage. In the darkest hours of the night, when all was silent and still, I would close my eyes and imagine a world where I was free. A world where I could walk with my head held high, where my voice was not silenced by fear or oppression. In these dreams, I was no longer a slave but a man with dignity and rights. Every beat of my heart echoed the rhythm of my dreams, urging me to never surrender to the chains that bound me. I knew that my path to liberation would be fraught with obstacles and challenges, but I was determined to overcome them all. With each passing day, my dreams of freedom grew stronger, fueling my determination to break free from the shackles of slavery. I clung to these dreams like a lifeline, drawing strength from their promise of a better tomorrow. They were my refuge in a world filled with cruelty and injustice, a beacon of hope that guided me through the darkest of times. And though the road to liberation would be long and difficult, I knew that as long as I held onto my dreams, I would never truly be a slave.Similar Posts
