The trajectory of your life is largely determined by the quality of your habits. This idea is not new, but it is often overlooked. Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement. The same way that money multiplies through compound interest, the effects of your habits multiply as you repeat them over time. Good habits make time your ally. Bad habits make time your enemy. The key to behavior change is not setting big, ambitious goals, but rather focusing on the small, seemingly insignificant habits that you do every day. These habits may appear to have little impact in the moment, but over time, they accumulate into remarkable results.
