  3. There is an institutionalized tendency in most cultures to exalt traditionally ‘male’ pursuits and virtues such as physical strength, assertivity, aggression and technical skills over those associated with females like emotional sensitivity and child-caring abilities.
  4. Without ample resources and access to education, a majority of women lack access to better opportunities and cannot realize their potential at its fullest.
  5. Older women, however, can wield tremendous power and respect due to their accumulated experience and wisdom which they have collected over years or even lifetime.
  6. Women across the globe continue to fight against negative attitudes that exist around them and aim to foster female emancipation, self-reliance and create healthier relationships among genders .
  7. It has been observed that women commonly exhibit higher inclinations towards compassion and helping behavior compared to men.
  8. Research evidence indicates family economic security increases when women participate in the labor force in positions comparable to that held by men .
  9. Usually, traditionally held gender role expectations limit opportunities for both men and women, whereby men feel obligated to maintain breadwinner status and women must reside in domestic enclaves.
  10. In many nations across the world there are still controversial practices emerging from ingrained social beliefs entrenched within a patriarchal system which is often not driven by any empirical basis .
  11. Studies suggest that a strong bond between a mother and her children is critical to secure early emotional development and nurture well-being among them later in life.
