Strive for equality for all from "summary" of An Autobiography or The Story of My Experiments with Truth by M. K. Gandhi

The fundamental equality of man was enshrined in the Vedas, the Upanishads, and the Gita. Every man, woman, and child is a manifestation of God, and as such is entitled to enjoy all the rights, privileges, and freedoms that come with this divine inheritance. This principle of equality is not limited to a particular race, caste, or creed, but extends to all of humanity. It is a universal truth that transcends the boundaries of time and space. In my quest for truth and self-realization, I have come to understand that the key to a harmonious society lies in the recognition and acceptance of this inherent equality. When we treat others with the same respect, dignity, and compassion that we would want for ourselves, we create a world where everyone can thrive and flourish. It is only through the practice of love, understanding, and empathy that we can truly achieve peace and harmony in our communities. I have seen firsthand the devastating effects of discrimination, prejudice, and injustice. Whether it is the oppression of the untouchables in India or the segregation of African Americans in the United States, the denial of equal rights and opportunities to any group of people is a grave injustice that must be rectified. I have dedicated my life to fighting against such inequality and working towards a society where everyone is treated with fairness and respect. Through my experiments with nonviolent resistance, civil disobedience, and peaceful protest, I have sought to awaken the conscience of the oppressors and inspire them to see the humanity in all people. By standing up for the rights of the marginalized, the disenfranchised, and the downtrodden, we can create a world where everyone has the chance to fulfill their potential and live a life of dignity and purpose. I urge all people of goodwill to join me in this noble cause and strive for equality for all. Let us work together to build a future where no one is left behind, where justice reigns supreme, and where love and compassion are the guiding principles of our society. Only by recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of every individual can we truly create a world that is worthy of our highest aspirations.
