Women should have the right to property from "summary" of A Vindication of the Rights of Women by Mary Wollstonecraft

To grant women the right to property is to acknowledge their independence and agency as individuals. It is to recognize their capacity to own and manage their own resources, free from the control and domination of others. This right is not merely a matter of economic empowerment, but a fundamental aspect of their human dignity and autonomy. Denying women the right to property perpetuates their status as second-class citizens, dependent on male relatives or spouses for their livelihood and well-being. It reinforces the patriarchal power structures that have long constrained and oppressed them, relegating them to a subordinate role in society. By granting women the right to property, we affirm their equal worth and inherent rights as human beings. We acknowledge their ability to make decisions for themselves, to pursue their own interests and aspirations, and to chart their own course in life. This right is essential for their full participation in the economic, social, and political spheres of society. Furthermore, the right to property provides women with a means of security and stability, enabling them to protect themselves and their families from poverty, exploitation, and abuse. It empowers them to build wealth, invest in their future, and secure a better life for themselves and their loved ones. In a truly just and equitable society, women must have the same rights and opportunities as men, including the right to property. It is a matter of basic fairness and justice, a reflection of our commitment to equality and human rights for all. To deny women this right is to deny their humanity and dignity, perpetuating the injustices and inequalities that have long plagued our world.
