Recounting events leading up to the French Revolution from "summary" of A Tale of Two Cities - by Charles Dickens by Charles Dickens

In those days, before the great upheaval that was to come, France was a country divided. The divide between the rich and the poor was stark, with the nobility living lives of luxury while the common folk struggled to make ends meet. The peasants toiled in the fields, their backs bent under the weight of their burdens, while the aristocracy danced and feasted in their grand palaces. As tensions simmered beneath the surface, whispers of revolution began to spread through the streets of Paris. The people grew restless, their anger mounting with each passing day. The injustices they suffered at the hands of the ruling class fueled their desire for change, for a new order where they would no longer be oppressed. The storm clouds gathered, dark and foreboding, as the revolution loomed on the horizon. The people cried out for justice, for equality, for a chance to take back what had been taken from them. The seeds of rebellion had been sown, and they were about to bear fruit in a bloody and violent revolution that would change the course of history. And so, the stage was set for the events that would lead up to the French Revolution. The anger and resentment of the people boiled over, as they rose up against their oppressors in a bid for freedom and equality. The streets ran red with blood, as the revolutionaries fought tooth and nail for their cause, their cries for liberty echoing through the night. In the midst of this chaos and turmoil, ordinary people found themselves caught up in events beyond their control. Families were torn apart, friendships were tested, and loyalties were questioned. It was a time of uncertainty and fear, as the old order crumbled and a new one rose from its ashes. Through it all, the spirit of revolution burned bright in the hearts of the people. They fought for a better future, for a world where all men were created equal, where justice reigned supreme. And though the road ahead was long and treacherous, they marched forward with courage and determination, ready to face whatever challenges lay in their path.
