In order to understand why writing is a powerful tool for women to assert their voices, we must first acknowledge the historical context in which women have been silenced and marginalized. Throughout history, women have been excluded from participating in the public sphere, denied access to education, and restricted in their ability to express themselves. As a result, women's voices have been suppressed and their perspectives have been largely ignored.
