Letting go of judgment and resistance from "summary" of A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle
To let go of judgment and resistance means to stop identifying with the voice in your head that constantly criticizes, evaluates, and compares everything around you. It is the voice that is never satisfied with what is and always seeks to find fault or create problems where there are none. This voice thrives on conflict and negativity, and it feeds off the energy of resistance that arises when you react to its judgments. When you let go of judgment, you are able to see things as they truly are, without the filter of your conditioned mind. You begin to realize that most of the things you judge as good or bad are simply labels that you have attached to them based on your past experiences and beliefs. By releasing these judgments, you open yourself up to a new way of experiencing the world - one that is free from the limitations of your own narrow perspective. Resistance, on the other hand, is the inner struggle that arises when you resist what is. It is the refusal to accept the present moment because it does not conform to your expectations or desires. When you resist reality, you create unnecessary suffering for yourself and others, as you try to control or manipulate the situation to fit your own agenda. By letting go of resistance, you surrender to the flow of life and allow things to unfold naturally, without trying to force or resist them. You come to accept that everything is as it is meant to be, and that each moment is an opportunity for growth and transformation. When you stop resisting, you tap into the power of surrender and find peace in the midst of chaos.- Letting go of judgment and resistance is about releasing the grip of the ego on your consciousness and reconnecting with the deeper truth of who you are. It is about stepping out of the endless cycle of suffering and awakening to the present moment, where true freedom and joy reside. By practicing non-judgment and non-resistance, you align yourself with the flow of life and open yourself up to the infinite possibilities that exist beyond the confines of your conditioned mind.
