Reflexive verbs in Spanish are those verbs that indicate that the subject of the sentence is performing an action on themselves. These verbs are easily recognizable by the presence of the reflexive pronouns "me," "te," "se," "nos," and "os" that are attached to the infinitive form of the verb. For example, in the sentence "Me lavo las manos" (I wash my hands), the reflexive pronoun "me" indicates that the action of washing is being performed by the subject (yo) on themselves. One unique characteristic of reflexive verbs is that they have their own set of conjugations in Spanish. When conjugating reflexive verbs, the reflexive pronoun must agree with the subject of the sentence.
