Embracing the unknown from "summary" of 360 Degrees Longitude by John Higham
Setting off on a journey around the world with three children under the age of ten, we knew that we were venturing into the unknown. We were stepping into a world where we didn't know what the future held, where we couldn't predict the challenges that lay ahead. But rather than being daunted by the uncertainty, we chose to embrace it.
By embracing the unknown, we were opening ourselves up to new possibilities, to the unexpected experiences that awaited us at every turn. We were allowing ourselves to be swept away by the currents of adventure, to be carried to places we had never dreamed of visiting. It was about letting go of our need for control, our desire to plan every detail, and instead surrendering to the flow of the journey.
