In Oceania, moral decay has become so deeply ingrained in society that it is now considered the norm. The citizens have been conditioned to accept and even participate in immoral acts without question. The Party's manipulation of history and language has created a world where concepts of right and wrong have been warped beyond recognition. By constantly rewriting history and altering language, the Party is able to shape reality according to its own twisted ideology.
