Moral decay is normalized in society from "summary" of 1984 [Nineteen Eighty-four] by George Orwell

In Oceania, moral decay has become so deeply ingrained in society that it is now considered the norm. The citizens have been conditioned to accept and even participate in immoral acts without question. The Party's manipulation of history and language has created a world where concepts of right and wrong have been warped beyond recognition. The Party's control extends to every aspect of life, including morality. By constantly rewriting history and altering language, the Party is able to shape reality according to its own twisted ideology. As a result, what was once considered morally reprehensible is now accepted as standard practice. The citizens of Oceania have been stripped of their individuality and humanity, reduced to mere cogs in the Party's machine. They are encouraged to betray their loved ones, spy on their neighbors, and even commit acts of violence in the name of the Party. Any semblance of morality or conscience has been eradicated in the pursuit of total power. In this dystopian society, moral decay is not only accepted but actively encouraged. The Party uses fear, manipulation, and propaganda to ensure that its citizens remain compliant and obedient. Those who dare to resist or question the Party's authority are swiftly dealt with, their very existence erased from history. The normalization of moral decay in Oceania serves to further solidify the Party's control over its citizens. By destroying any sense of right and wrong, the Party is able to maintain its grip on power indefinitely. In a world where truth is subjective and morality is a relic of the past, the Party reigns supreme.
