  5. Understanding our own present requires us to make sense of our collective past, even if some truths will never be revealed and other facts remain disputed.
  6. As a result, accuracy and authenticity in past events have been called into question numerous times throughout history, leading to an ongoing pursuit of knowledge about our species' shared experiences.
  7. Consequently, we must look towards sources that are backed by research and expertise, alongside taking into account a variety of perspectives, to ensure that we gain as much clarity around our historical roots.
