Hannah begins to lose hope in finding true friendship from "summary" of 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Hannah begins to realize that finding true friendship is not as easy as she once believed. She tries to open up to others, to be vulnerable and honest, but she feels constantly let down. Each time she puts her trust in someone, it seems to be misplaced. People she thought were her friends turn out to be unreliable, spreading rumors and betraying her confidence. As Hannah's experiences pile up, she becomes more guarded, more wary of those around her. She starts to question whether true friendship even exists or if it's just a figment of her imagination. The loneliness she feels grows deeper, the distance between her and her peers widening. She longs for connection, for someone to truly understand her, but she struggles to find it. The weight of her disappointments begins to wear on her, eroding her confidence and self-worth. She starts to withdraw, to build walls around herself as a means of protection. The hope she once had in forming meaningful relationships starts to fade, replaced by a sense of resignation. She resigns herself to the idea that maybe she is destined to be alone, to never find the kind of friendship she craves. Hannah's journey serves as a cautionary tale, a reminder of the importance of true connections and the devastating effects of loneliness. Her experiences highlight the fragility of human relationships and the impact of betrayal and deceit. Through her story, we are reminded of the power of friendship, but also of the pain that can come when that trust is broken.
